The building with its monotonous presentability and rationality suits well into the emerging university campus. The institute’s goal is to move all previously scattered faculties into one building and to do it in a situation where some of the faculties do not particularly want to work under one roof. The project divides the faculties into four volumes. A roundabout of galleries connects the building blocks and unifies the institute. There is a spacious sunny plaza to the south of the institute. The building consists of four interconnected blocks of varying heights (A-, B-, C- and D-block) that surround a private courtyard. The building is finished with reinforced concrete that is treated with iron sulphate and Cor-Ten.
